Elon Musk JUST Dropped This HUGE NEWS About Tesla's Future

15 years ago today on august 2nd 2006 co-founder and ceo of what was then called tesla motors elon musk put out his top secret master plan essentially the cleverly titled document outlined what musk envisioned for tesla a few years before it would ever pump an electric vehicle off its production lines musk who's built tesla from nothing to the world's most valuable automaker with the help of employees and other executives of course showed the plan that would take the company to the top it's pretty safe to say that tesla has done an outstanding job keeping up witelon musk's top secret master plan but here's the new plan elon musk has announced on twitter that the main focus of his next master plan will be scaling tesla to extreme size the idea that musk wants tesla to grow to extreme size isn't exactly surprising given tesla's stated goal of producing 20 million vehicles annually by 2030 in comparison the world's largest automakers such as volkswagen and toyota generate approximately 10 million automobiles per year but given the current state of global supply musk's new plan is likely to go into further detail about how to scale manufacturing and supply chains to these levels keep watching to find out all the details about tesla's scaling musk also mentioned that master plan part 3 willfeature portions on spacex and th boring company in addition to tesla previously the master plan blog articles focused on tesla and were published on tesla's website part one mentioned solarcity and part two mentioned tesla's acquisition and integration of solarcity but there was never any mention of another musk company this has sparked new speculation about the x umbrella company which would bring all of musk's businesses together under one roof musk has already discussed the notion but it'd be extremely difficult to implement mentions of spacex and the boring company could simply be more collaborations between the companies as we've seen before or they could be completely unrelated to tesla and solely about must's larger plan and how all these companies fit into it parts one and two were important pieces of tesla literature that paved the way for the company's success in many ways musk wrote a blog post totaled the secret tesla motors master plan just between you and me on august 2nd 2006. he stated that his long-term goal was to produce a diverse range of models including family cars that were affordable tesla motor's overarching goal was explained by musk his reason for founding the company is to help expedite the move from a mine and burn hydrocarbon economy towards a solar electric economy which he believes to be the primary but not exclusive sustainable solution this first master plan was to build a sports car use the money obtained from the sports car to create an affordable car and use that money to build an even more affordable car he would provide zero emission electric power generation while building affordable electric vehicles he realized most of his master plan but it looks like he failed to provide affordable evs it didn't happen smoothly but tesla managed that for the most part with the roadster model s and then model 3. in 2016 musk followed up with the tesla master plan part 2. part 2 came as tesla was delivering the model 3 and acquiring solarcity which are basically the last two steps of the original plans in part two musk emphasized the integration of energy storage with renewable energy generation under the new tesla energy division the creation of the solar roof was also announced in the plan the updated plan was also focused on self-driving capabilities which became a priority at tesla musk published his second master plan in 2016. he explained in a blog post that his first master plan was all he could afford with the finances gained from paypal for the second part of his master plan he stepped up his game for achieving a sustainable energy economy to stop the collapse of civilization when fossil fuels run out he founded solarcity and powerwall to address this problem while tesla addresses two segments of premium sedans and suvs to cover a broader consumer base to scale up the production volume to accelerate a sustainable future must transition tesla to a company that designs the machines that make the machines the second part of musk's master plan also covers car sharing as regulators approve the true self-driving and test the owners start to summon their cars anywhere they want this includes adding your car to the tesla's shared fleet to let other people summon your car when you're not using it and making money from your vehicle when it's idle master plan part do was to create home solar roofs with integrated battery storage it's also expanded the electric product line to address all major segments part due also outlined how tesla would develop a self-driving capability that would be 10 times safer than human driving via fleet learning it'd enable your car to make money for you when you weren't using it as the car would act as a robo taxi in the six years since part d was published musk has provided solar roof solar panels and a crossover suv the model y while car sharing is being integrated into tesla's website the feature has yet to come close to going public among other segments mentioned in the plan musk mentioned a new kind of pickup which ended up being the cyber truck a compact suv the model y a heavy duty truck which became the tesla semi and finally high passenger density urban transport every vehicle announced in the plan was unveiled though they now need to be brought to production except for the high passenger density urban transport it was rumored through a partnership with the boring company but we've never seen anything official from tesla while all or even a majority of the goals of part two haven't been achieved yet they'll be within the next 12 months if you believe musk's timelines which is a stretch especially the one for full self-driving which the ceo insists is going to happen by the end of the year now it's exciting to get a part 3 because for all his faults musk has been very good at staying mostly true to those plans as for me i have a feeling that the tesla bot is going to be a big part of it since it's definitely something that wasn't in the previous plans and now it appears to be a priority at tesla elon musk has very ambitious goals for tesla and during the opening of the company's berlin factory reiterated previous statements that the company could be selling 20 million vehicles annually in 10 years curiously he also said the best case scenario would be for tesla to build 10 million evs a year this isn't the first time musk has touted the 20 million figure in fact he stated that tesla will probably produce 20 million vehicles annually by 2030 back in september 2020 a target that many people consider impossible to achieve i think it's aggressive but not impossible that we could do 20 million cars in 10 years musk said in berlin and that would be a good number because there's 2 billion cars and trucks in the world that are in active use so 20 million would be the 1 of the global fleet per year before he said this however he was asked what would be the best case scenario for tesla production i suppose 10 million he replied tesla sold a little under 1 million vehicles last year and if it were to sell 20 million cars in a single year that'd be roughly the same as what general motors and the vw group produced combined it's a truly staggering number there's little doubt that tesla's sales and production numbers will grow in th coming years the berlin factory will have the capacity to produce 500 000 vehicles a year by 2025. tesla's fremont site could be expanded to build 600 000 vehicles annually the austin factory could hit four hundred thousand vehicles by twenty twenty four tesla's chinese factory has a capacity of eight hundred sixty four thousand and the car maker is also looking to build a second factory in china of course actually hitting these capacity limits is not a given particularly since the growing number of electric vehicles being launched by legacy automakers has already started to erode tesla's ev market share tesla is absolutely going to lose market share for evs because they started with no competition vice president of global vehicle forecasting at auto forecast solutions sam fiorani said in a statement to auto news it doesn't matter if tesla were to double or triple its size the market is going to grow and they're going to be other players coming in demand for tesla's electric vehicles is increasing day by day even though the company increased its electric vehicle prices recently tesla updated its delivery timetable for its new vehicle orders on its website and it looks like tesla sold out many models for the year despite the increase in electric vehicle prices the increase in demand is due to both the increase in the trend of avoiding internal combustion engines to fight climate change and the recent increase in gas prices after russia's invasion of ukraine the eevee maker increased model wise price from 47 thousand dollars to 63 000 recently but this increase had no effect on buyers as model y deliveries for new orders are now pushed to a time frame between january 2023 and april 2023 model s deliveries are estimated to be actualized between november 2022 and january 2023 while model x orders are expected to be delivered sometime between april and july of 2023 tesla announced that it was prioritizing increasing its production substantially in 2022 to address the backlog of orders in its q4 results the ev maker now plans to deal with the increase in orders by increasing its output to the maximum at its existing manufacturing plants in california and shanghai and by also bringing online entirely new factories in austin texas and the most recent one in berlin tesla recently launched a gigafactory in shanghai and was expected to ramp up production and sell an estimated 1.5 million cars this year helping the company to establish a stronger foothold in europe but as the current pandemic cases surge again in shanghai and the city is going under two-phase lockdown the shanghai gigafactory will halt production until april 1st making it even harder to catch up on the order backlog elon musk recently spoke about his concerns about the challenges with battery production in 2023 which can jeopardize the company's plan to scale up electric vehicle production over the next few years he said that in the same period the main concerns would be the number of gigawatt hours of battery produced the strength of the supply chain and the rate at which battery materials are being mined and refined musk also pointed out another problem which many manufacturers love to deal with orders for tesla's electric vehicles are outpacing its production speeds but no matter what tesla intends to keep its position as the world's best-selling electric vehicle maker and be back with its full lineup including the long-awaited cyber truck in 2023 what do you think is going to be an elon musk's master plan part 3..
